d6 roller | character birther | npc spawner | creature broiler | rumour churner | job board | watch rolls | dungeon crawler

d6 roller

First, here's your dice roller. As you'll see, this game is a d6 system, using positive or negative modifiers. Once you know the roll to be made, punch it in here and the roller will do the rest.

character birther

Next, you have your character generator. Ideally, you'll roll up your character manually using the souls of the chaos section, but if you're short on time, or as GM if you'd like a stack of pre-gens to chuck at players whose characters keep dying(!), simply click Create My Character until you have a name you like for your character, and the tool will do the rest. If you don't like what you see, click Create My Character again to re-start. Remember to export to pdf, either on a basic sheet or a fillable pdf to print or use online. Oh, and remember that the Failed Career, What's Gone Wrong, Chains, and Discords you'll see in your sheet's Notes & Scribbes, are only there for inspiration, to kick you off quickly, so feel free to come up with something else.

Character Birther

npc spawner

And here's a little NPC generator. Simply click the button and, in an intstant, you'll have a non-player character the party might meet on their travels through The Realm.

Each NPC will have a name, something distinct about them, and a rumour or job related to one of the locations in The Realm. Use this purely as inspiration in planning or in the moment!

If you feel they ever need a dice roll to decide how they react to something, instead of rolling up all their traits, simply roll 1d6, with a roll of 4 or above generally favouring the party, or give them a grit score of around 7 to see if they react negatively to how any parley or encounter with them is unfurling. Worst case, you can always just roll up their relevant trait being tested in the moment and see how they fare, so two rolls of 3d6, one for the trait, one to see if they succeed by rolling under it.

Anyway, enough waffling - clickety click!...

creature broiler

Oh, and you might need some creatures to sling in the way of the characters. Using this nifty creature maker, you can rapidly emulate the creation process in the game for pulling together a creature on the fly. It takes all the tables in the game and spurts out the sauce you'll need to cook up your creature. Remember to get the players to name what it is once you've described what it looks like & what it does, and to export to PDF in case you'd like to use it again.

rumour churner

Sometimes, you might find yourself in need of an actionable rumour or three to get things going at the table. So here's a quick rumour generator to get you started. It lays out hopefully a thought-provoking location, faction, situation, and complication, but also some extra stuff to spark something up for you. Given that it's just a lowly generator, some of what this slings together might make little sense, but hey, remember that these are purely for inspiration, so keep clicking until something, well, clicks!

job board

And here's a quick job board the character(s) might come across in a tavern or posted on a wall somewhere, or maybe relayed by someone they meet in their travels in The Realm. Pick your location in The Realm, hit the button, and you'll end up with some jobs, and also the pay and a patron. As always, this is all just for brainmeat juice, so keep hitting that button until you find something that sparks!

watch rolls

What about travel watch rolls? As you'll see in the game, whilst travelling, days can be broken down into watches. This generator reflects the various rolls that can be made for each watch, essentially giving the player(s) a whole bunch of stuff to engage with and make travel more than just a bland trawl through the wild. Just hit the button, and keep hitting it until you've got something that grabs your interest!

dungeon crawler

Need to know what's in the next chamber or corridor as the character(s) delve into the underworld? Clickety click on your dungeon crawler. You can choose from rooms, corridors, and traps. More options will be added soon, but this can get you started with some sparks.
